Dear List Members, In checking my mail this evening I find that you the list members overwhelmingly want the Obits to continue to be posted to the list. I received over 50 personal messages, 2 negative, 5 saying it does not matter one way or the other if they are posted, and rest of the messages ask for the obits to continue. I have again opened the list and I thank you for your input. If you need to comment on this posting, please send it to me personally, NOT to the list. I appreciate each of you and your desire to make this list all it can be. Kathleen Burnett List Mom

I am sure some people like the obits, but there are people getting mad because of them and people unsubscribing because of it. And if this keeps up, I will too. I am not trying to make the person who is doing this feel bad. I understand she is trying to be helpful, but it is a hindrance and the only way you can access them is to go into the archives and search them out. Most people find that to be too much work. Maybe she can make a webpage and add the web page to the County site at the MiGenweb site. This is what Muskegon Co. does. And the volunteers who do it are doing a magnificent job. Maybe, if she doesn't know how to make a website for the obits she is posting, someone on this site can volunteer to help her. There would be such a greater benefit to doing it this way the way it is being done now. It is just too much to find 80 e-mails from this site that are just going into the archives where the average person will not access them. Please think about this so no one else has to unsub from this wonderful site. Warm Regards, June L. I will not make this decision until I get home on Sunday and I will only take into consideration the messages which are posted to me personally Kathleenburnett@earthlink.net As for members unsubscribing, as a List Admin, I receive a message when a member subscribes and or unsubscribes, and NONE have. The Digest Mode is great for me. I have as yet found any of my wife's relatives, but am still hoping! Perhaps there is another way to get these obituaries into the archives. I applaud the VOLUNTEER'S efforts to get the obits. out to those who are looking for relatives. Great Work Volunteer ! Thanks! Joseph R. Murnane 4219 Jersey Rd. I agree with June Beckwith. Perhaps maudiecarole could list names only of the deceased in her subject lines (and group several together), or just send one email listing all the names in the body of the email. Anyone interested could contact her privately for a particular obit. Thanks, Patti Faist
