Diane, The CASSIDY family in St. Louis is one of the toughest names to work. My grandmother's maiden name was CASSIDY, and as luck would have it her father's name was PATRICK JOSEPH. I think every Cassidy family has at least 4 or 5 Patrick Joseph's. Anyhow, to my knowledge there is no Missouri Death Index. The St. Louis Genealogy Society has recently completed an index of deaths that occurred from 1850-1910 (I think these are the correct years), There is a paper copy at the Societies office. You might contact them for a lookup, this will be done by a volunteer, but there will be a fee. You will need to provide additional information for lookups in obits and cemeteries, i.e. Given names, Religious Preference, narrow time frames as close as possible and other surnames that might be associated with the individual. You might be able to narrow the search for Given names using the Census address and the St. Louis City Directories. When it comes to A. CASSIDY burials in Calvary Cemetery you have: ABNER 24 DEC 1911 ALEXANDER 15 MARCH 1896 ANDREW, 17 JUN 1916 Bill Some Data on cemeteries and funeral homes <http://genealogyinstlouis.accessgenealogy.com/buchholz.htm> Surnames of Interest: BUCHHOLZ anywhere -BECKMANN-CASSIDY-DeL0NJAY-DREES-NENTWIG-NEUTZLER-PONCOT-RENSING-STAUDER- STIEFFERMANN
