I recieved a letter back yesterday about a query I had made about my grandfather to the Social Security Administration. I had asked them if they could at least let me know where he was living when he died and the date he had died. I had already had the month and year. They answered back with his last residence at the time of his death. I am hoping that some kind soul can help me out. They said he was living in Liberty at the time of his death in October 1958, when looking for the county it came up with 3, Callaway, Clay and McDonald. I am not sure which county he was in. My mother had never gotten to know her father as while she was a toddler her maternal grandparents sent her away (this was during the depression), he was out of state at the time looking for work. She is almost 70 now and still hasn't been able to pay her respects to her parent as we have yet to find where he is. (we found her mother, Columbus Ohio, a little to late, but have paid our respects to her). (this is what started my genealogy bug, looking for my grandparents, trying to reconnect with a family we had never gotten the chance to know.) I am hoping that someone out there on this internet highway can help me. I really appreciate it and am willing to help others also...
