Nancy Dalton married William Louis Jones around the year 1900. Can anyone tell me how far back marriage records go for the state, and what would be the best way to research this? They both died many happy years later in California. Will was born in Illinois, and family lore has Nancy born in Missouri. Any thoughts?? Thanks, Laura
