Burried: Wallula Cemetery, Wallula, Walla Walla County, WA His Grandparents were from Bedford County, Virginia, St. Louis and Franklin County, Missouri. His Grandmother was a Branch. Ambrose was a brother of my Grandmother Sedalia RUCKER Dexter. CARLA in OREGON [email protected] August 12, 1898 Eastern Oregon Observer Amborse Rucker, a farm hand in the employ of Henry Adams, was drowned Sunday morning near Wallula, He and three other young men were in bathing in the Walla Walla river and Rucker, who cannot swim, got in to water too deep for him. One of the other young men rushed in to save Rucker but was nearly drowned in the attempt so near that he was inconsolable when taken out ot the water. Rucker was 18 years old and his home is near La Grande Or. He was buried Monday in Wallula.
