Hi All: Have been reading all of the messages hoping that my names would come up. Nothing to date so am posting. Isaac HITCHCOCK left Missouri for the last time in 1843 headed for California. However any HITCHCOCK in Missouri during the period of 1820 through 1855 will be of my line. Also, we need information on an Andrew PATTERSON, who was a judge and died in Missouri before 1843. I know there are a lot of PATTERSON'S in Missouri but can't seem to find the family he belongs too. John Duncan GREEN, is another one of the line. Both GREEN and HITCHCOCK were mountainmen and trappers. We have scoured all the records we know of and cannot find where they sold their pelts, and or anything about their activities while in Missouri. HITCHCOCK, was one of the men who helped guide the Stephens, Townsend, Murphy wagon train of 1844 successfully into California. Actually this was the first train to fully make it, with wagons and all, and preceded the Donner's by a year or so. Any information regarding these families would be greatly appreciated.
