I certainly agree. Be persistent. I was told that a marriage record did not exist in a certain county (not in MO) by: 1. The State Archives 2. The County Clerk 3. One paid researcher 4. One free lookup. Another free lookup person found and sent me the record. It had loads of information in it for me. Jim James R.
