I have found two people researching the surname WARREN on the MO website, but couldn't reach them directly. I hope someone will get this to them if they don't see it. I will try to be concise. I have John N. WARREN, son of John WARREN & Mary A. TRAINOR. John N. was born in Missouri (as specific as it gets) abt 1848. About 1877 he married Viola Rebekah "Olie" HANEY, probably in or near St. Louis. Olie was from a river family - her father was captain of a riverboat that would go from St. Louis as soon as the ice thawed in the spring all the way up to Dakota Territory (and into Montana). He would try to be back home by the time the river started to freeze. But I digress... John N. WARREN and Olie had a daughter, Julia Aimee WARREN born Mar 1878 in Missouri. Olie died in Nov 1879. Olie's brother had died a short time before she did, and her father reportedly died of a broken heart a few months after Olie died. You see, he was still on the river and didn't get to see her before she passed away. This is really quite a story. It goes on that John N. and Olie's mother, Sarah KOONSE HANEY (b. 1831, Ohio) took the baby Aimee, as she was called, to Loup City, Sherman County, Nebraska arriving in May of 1880. Sarah's sister Naomi KOONSE SIMPSON lived there. Since Sarah was a widow, this seemed a good idea to be near family. On 12 Oct 1886, John N. WARREN was married to Anna BETTS or BELTS. At some point after this, I think they returned to St. Louis and had at least one daughter. This WARREN daughter married a man named Richard JORDAN and lived in Maplewood, a suburb of St. Louis. I have an account of a dynamite explosion in their neighborhood around the beginning of Mar, 1916. In this, it says there was a baby and 4 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard JORDAN. I would like to know if anyone knows of this family. I am looking for the JORDAN family and their descendants. I also don't have John N. WARREN's death date or place yet. Thanks, Laura
