Brick Wall? I got a really good one...only have maiden name of person...possible 3 first names... St Charles Missouri...late 1860's early 1870s 1st know to be there for sure in 1871 ... Am having help with this from the Historical Society tho ... Looking for a Irish family that most properly both came married from Ireland with children?....area in Ireland would be Co Kildare, family Catholic...the wifes maiden name would be KANE....first name could be ANN, MARGARET or MARY...she would have been born in Mylerstown Co Kildare Ireland..her parents were MICHAEL KANE and BRIDGET DUGGAN...her father was a Master tailor...and she had 8 other brothers and sisters...Patrick, Ann, Mary, Margaret, Bridget , Katherine and Elizabeth...she might have had a brother named Peter and one named Michael...5 of her siblings would have been in the US by 1884....her sister Elizabeth married a MICHAEL JOHN O'CONNOR who was also a tailor from Co Cork...they came to the US in 1884..lived in Rochester Pa, Ashland Ky and Huntington WV.... This 'UNKNOWN wife' nee KANE ...2 sisters Bridget and Katherine came to the US in 1870 and then in 1871 came to her house to live in St Charles Mo...both Bridget and Katherine entered the Convent of the Society of the Sacret Heart in Maryville....Bridget in 1875 and Katherine in 1878... 'Unknown wife' nee KANE's brother Patrick was a Master tailor also and lived in Rochester Pa .... Right now that is all I know about this brick wall..other than in 1937 a niece mentioned in Sister Bridget Kanes obit in St Joseph Mo was a Mrs John Murphy of Kansas City Mo...was this niece a daughter of the 'UNKNOWN wife' nee KEAN ? The Historical Society in St Charles has the church records for the RC churches and are searching for a UNKNOW woman that had a maiden name of KANE br Ire...
