And to thank all who were there! > THANK YOU! > > Shirley Pierce had about 20 of her group and they were the hardest workers I ever saw! They felled some very big trees and yes pictures were taken! They started about midway in the cem and we tried to make it all the way to the back but it was so hot and hard work we all pooped out at 2 pm or there abouts! There was also my husband and I and Mike Laws came down from St. Louis , we had the chainsaws singing (-; hows that sunburn Mike? (MIke and I got lucky as the area cleared had our kin) > > I am pleased to say there were NO CHIGGERS or TICKS!!! Mosquitoes galore and one old alligator lizard! I think we scared the snakes and critters for miles around... > > On the other end of the cem was the Bodine family! Sam Bodine showed up with his group of 6-7 folks and they worked hard and got that section cleaned up really nice! I didn't see much of them sorry Sam, I was busy on the other side....but I am glad I got to meet him and his family! Next time > > Another lady and several of her kin showed up from TN, I am sorry to say I didn't catch her name! She was looking for Mabry's I hope she found them but doubt it, the place was so dense with undergrowth and the trees were so huge that unless someone had a chainsaw cutting you couldn't find anything. But I thank her for joining us and wished we could have visited! Next time ok? Hope I didn't miss anyone .. > > No we aren't done )-: it is going to take several more days of hard work to get it done. Don't know when yet but we need more hard workers men and women and teens to help complete the cleanup. We need to get it sprayed before the green grows back. Shirley is going to be working on it everyday it doesn't rain and I told her to let me know and we will come down on the weekends when possible to help. She has some VERY large piles to burn in July! This was surely a week long project! > > But it was very rewarding and fun , I had a ball meeting all the folks from the area , I grew up in CA so I am not a MO native )-: and feel like I have been deprived , the Southern hospitality is so awesome and I can't wait to go back and work again........JOIN US NEXT TIME YA HEAR? > > Debi > in Illinois > > > > ==== Missouri Mailing List ==== > Need to find the county for a town?
