I have just found that John Quincy Mills was born about 1860 and came from Missouri. The only other information is that he took the Oregon Trail about 1880 and landed in La Grande, Union Co., OR the first major stop for stages. He married Emma Brower Wright shortly after, and probably ended up going on to Seattle for work later. Is there anyone researching Mills families in MO during early to mid- 1800's? I have had a very hard time finding any information on this man, and he is important to my search. Thank you, Lillian Kathleen Martin
