I am searching for any information on John W. Kohl and Sarah Wallpole, who were the parents of my great uncle Charles Kohl. Charles was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on August 8, 1874 (according to his marriage record). He was married October 21, 1902 to Catharine Weber, daughter of Christian Weber and Anna Kaiser Weber at Webertown, in the Eau Pleine Township of Marathon County, Wisconsin. Charles Kohl died at the Soldier�s Home at Milwaukee in November 1929. He was a veteran having served in the army for Uncle Sam during the Spanish-American War, a member of a St. Louis company. John and Sarah may have been from the St. Louis area. Other children of John Kohl and Sarah Wallpole were: Herbert of Washington, Harry of Milwaukee, Frank of Montana, Mrs. Chas. Kohl of Two Rivers and Mrs Clarence Reno of Stratford, Marathon County, Wisconsin. Sarah died when her children were very young, and John remarried to a woman by the name of Jemimia (or something like that).
