    3. New to list... My wild goose chase.... In 1871 2 young sisters came to St Charles Missouri to stay with their older sister and her family...these 2 girls were BRIDGET KANE and KATHREINE KANE br 1848 & 1850 Mylerstown Co Kildare...the yr befor they had come from Ireland to stay with their brother PATRICK O'KEANE in Fall River Mass...in 1871 they traveled to St Charles... They evidently lived with this older sister and her family until they both entered the Convent of the Sacred Heart in Marysville Mo..Bridget in 1875... Katherine following her in 1878... Sr Katherine died in 1929 St Joseph Mo and Sr Bridget died in 1937...in Sr Bridgets obit it said that her niece MRS JOHN MURPHY of Kansas City Missouri attended her funeral... What I am looking for is the UNKNOWN older sister of Bridget and Katherine Kane...this Unknow sister would have been br in Ireland befor 1848 her parents names would have been MICHAEL KANE and BRIDGET DUNGAN..her father Michael was a tailor in Mylerstown Co Kildare...she had 8 other siblings...I know names of 5...Patrick [also a tailor], Bridget, Katherine, Michael and a younger sister Elizabeth br 1859 who married a MICHAEL JOHN O'CONNOR in 1882 Co Kildare..he also was a tailor they came to this country in 1884..there was also a brother named MICHAEL all were in this country by 1884....another possible brother might have been a PETER KANE who was a witness to the marriage of Elizabeth and Michael in Ireland in 1882... I am also looking for information on this JOHN MURPHY family of Kansas City Mo in 1937...believe this niece of Sr Bridget Kane might be a daughter of UNKNOWN older sister of St Charles...know that another niece mention in her obit was a daughter of her sister Elizabeth O'Connor nee Kane...Mrs R.[Mayme] Brukhardt of Huntington WV..... This is about all I know re Missouri and my 2 surnames there...the only other name I have is a Rev Father Hayden SJ of St Charles that evidently was a advisor to Sr Bridget befor she entered the Convent in 1878...someone who has Catholic lines in St Charles might reconize his name and the parish he was at that might pin down the area where this UNKNOWN OLDER sister lived there in St Charles. Enjoy the day SLC
