I am having so much trouble finding information on my Great grandfather, John H. Evans around Carroll and Livingston County. Some time in the mid 1800s John H. built a home in Tina, Carroll Co., for his future or by then his father in law, John B. Parsley. It was still standing in 1983 and may still be. My question is this, can anyone tell me if there was a Carpenters Union or something similar to that where a person might check for information. Any help would be appreciated.
