    2. Thank you to everyone that responded to my inquiry on the Chain of Rock Bridge. You have been very helpful. I may now be able to find the birth place of my Great grandmother. I can't find them in the 1880 census and that is why I thought he may have helped build the bridge then. I know he was in Lawrence Co., MO 1900. But he did leave for long periods of time. HE died 1919. So I wonder when the bridge was started. Thanks again. Kathy Pugh

Kathy you might want to look up the early towns of Baden and Riverside which orginally were outside St Louis and whose water plant was at the rock formation in the river for which the bridge was named.
