Booneville was the location of the US Government Land Office issuing the patent, not the county seat of the county containing your plot of land. When I searched , for section 30 township 38 north, range 18 west of 5th Principal Meridan, I get Camden County, Missouri. The county seat is Camdenton, the county clerk should be able to supply you with a map that contains section lines. To do your own search, I suggest, you go to the Bureau of Land Management site. http://www.glorecords.blm.gov/ Do a "Search Land Patents" This will give you a search screen, http://www.glorecords.blm.gov/search/search.asp On that search screen, sellect state of Missouri, then scroll down and fill in the section number, township number and direction, range number and direction, and meridan name. The search will give you the name of patentees on that section. Click on "details" for county location and other information. You can even download a copy of the patent Or if you are only interested in a name, fill in the proper name field and leave the rest blank.
