Update! Name change! I had been writing you all about my Grandfather Bill Mimms. Well that turns out to be a "Nick name". His real name is on file with California Death records: EDDIE B. MIMMS b. 9/10/1892 d. 4/8/1967 CA His father was Gideon Mimms married to Lou Ella Riley. His parents were both from Kentucky families, but moved to Missouri with many other Kentucky families. The Mimms are intermarried with : James/Cole/Poor/Riley/Younger families both in Kentucky and out West in Missouri. We still have ties to Logan Co., KY. My Grandfather's older brother was CLYDE MIMMS. My grandfather was a fireman on the railraod, and that is what brought him to settle in California's Central Valley about 1925.
