Hello everyone! This is my first submission to the list. I am researching my GGrandfather Gideon MIMMS who married Lou Ella RILEY June 25, 1876. The Mimms and the Riley families are from Logan Co., KY and still have some relatives there. However Gideon and Lou Ella are among the many well established Kentucky families that settled in Missouri at about the same time. The Mimms family married among the JAMES family frequently, and the Riley family married among the COLE family several times. Also there is the POOR family connected, also. My Grandfather was William Mimms born about 1898 in MO. Lou Ella delivered tripletts, all surviving. 2 girls and my grandfather. My granfather worked as a fireman on the railroad, and moved to California in 1925 to continue his rail work at Sugar Pine, Ca a logging rail. I would like to continue this research to find other Mimms in Missouri, and to find where was he born, and where his parents died. Thank you very kindly, Lillian Kathleen Martin
