I have not been keeping up with all this ROLL CALL bit but I suspect what most people were looking for was the above subject. In other words the surname date and location if known. No you don't have to put all the surnames in the subject block. perhaps several like I do if looking for several or more. If you put roll call in subject block only. Then you have no idea of who's being looked for until you open the msg. That is what makes people mad. Wow what a stink the "ole" rollcall word causes, lol. Stan, I have a cousin who is nee TURNER. Her family had been in Carroll County, MO for several generations. (She is born about 1920 and is sharp as a tack and always on the go.) Her grandfather was in MO state politics. Maybe you tie in her family?
