Morper families are recorded in both 1800's Missouri and in Cook County, Illinois. Two brothers, Nicholas and John Morper served in the army during the Civil War from Illinois. I can not find a relationship to the Missouri Morpers. Their father, Adam, is cited in one of the census taken in Cook County.
