"ETHEL MERRETTE RIDDLE Ethel Merrette Riddle, age 70, a resident of Chillicothe, died August 22, 1992, at Hedrick Medical Center. She was born in Livingston Co. Aug. 13, 1922, the daughter of John Henry and Minnie May Gordon Williams. On Oct. 1, 1938, she married Herbert Leroy Riddle in Chillicothe. He died April 19, 1989. She was a lifelong resident of Livingston County, a homemaker and a Baptist. She is survived by four sons, Vernon Riddle of Ludlow, Lester Riddle of Trenton, John Riddle of Ridgeway and Charles Riddle of Chillicothe; six daughters, Sherry Coldiron of Dawn, Charlotte Sturgeon of Chillicothe, Vicki Clevenger of Osceola, Iowa, Teresa Olson and Liza Barron, both of Ludlow, and Juliana Hyatt of Colorado; a brother, Vernon Williams of Dawn; two sisters, Grace Childs of Chillicothe and Rose Lamberton of Kansas City; 29 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, several step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, a brother and a sister. Lindley Funeral Home arranged for cremation. Memorial services will be Wednesday, Aug. 26, at 2 p.m. at the Anderson Cemetery.
