The USGENWEB On-line MO Census Images are grand, but I couldn't find the particular county I needed. Looked for a FAQ, but couldn't find. Would SKS tell me how I can find the St. Louis County &/or Webster Groves, Missouri census? Sorry if this sounds like a foolish question, but.... I'm looking for a marriage look-up please....the names are Calvin Tillman (AKA John Calvin) and Amanda M. Bell? They probably married around 1848 or so in Missouri (most likeley Greene/Christian Counties). They resided in Greene County, MO in 1850 in the Finley Township. Thanks so much! Pam Tillman-Goff
Because of one of the nicest people on this list (Bart Wise :) I have been given the direction to find the most useful tool in my Missouri Research ever! I had no idea that the census images were online and FREE to see thru the USGENWEB. Go to the state of Missouri and you'll see it. The census project.... Thanks so much again Bart! I hope everyone gets as much out of it as I did! Pam Tillman-Goff
Hi list This is a reminder to those folks interested in the bootheel area of MO this next Saturday May 11th at 8 am!!! We are cleaning up New Hope cemetery in Marston New Madrid CO MO. We have a family bringing their "loggers" and the city will haul off the debris. The National Guard last cleaned this up in the 60s!! It is a mess..... go to the New Madrid website for info on who is buried there and directions.. We hope to have a good turn out , who knows we may get a crew going to clean up some others in the area!! I just had the site post all the burials for New Hope and many more cemeteries in that area, with many more to come. All the credit goes to Mary Margaret Brown, who was at one time the Probate clerk in New Madrid!!! Hope to see you at New Hope, drop by and lend a hand!!!! Thanks Debi abbent@direcpc.com
Would someone with access to census images mind looking at the 1850 image of my ancestors for me? I would really appreciate it. Greene County, MO 1850 - Finley TWP. 1090-1090 Tilman, Margarette 46 f NC William T. 24 James T. 21 Cordelia 18 Elmira E. 16 I have the census records that were re-typed and purchased from the archives, but I need to have the actual image looked at if possible. Does it look like the name Tilman is Taylor? How were the questions answered? I can't remember if the 1850 census asks if your a widow or not, and how many children in total you have as well as where your parents were born. I really need this info to confirm identity of this family. Thanks so much to anyone who may have the time to do this for me. Pam Tillman-Goff
Does anyone know where Elizabeth (Nickles Leonard) Beard, wife of Elisha Beard is buried? She died Oct. 30, 1908 in Putnam Co., Missouri. I would love to have a picture of her tombstone if anyone finds it this Memorial Day. Linda Mondy 15395 Slab Springs Dr. Licking, Missouri 65542 gmm001@mail.connect.more.net
Nancy Weaver Swindle was the grandaughter of John Swindle and Hannah Weaver. John was a rev. war vet. Nancy and family moved to Missouri about 1820. She married in 1837 in Shelby Co., MO to Dr. Jeremiah Brower. I have checked at Shelby Co., and I can't find her folks. This family starts in VA then to NC then to KY and then to MO. Anyone researching or came across a Swindle family during the time frame of 1820 to 1900 in MO.? Thank you,
I have just found that John Quincy Mills was born about 1860 and came from Missouri. The only other information is that he took the Oregon Trail about 1880 and landed in La Grande, Union Co., OR the first major stop for stages. He married Emma Brower Wright shortly after, and probably ended up going on to Seattle for work later. Is there anyone researching Mills families in MO during early to mid- 1800's? I have had a very hard time finding any information on this man, and he is important to my search. Thank you, Lillian Kathleen Martin

I recently posted a message needing information on a Tillman/Gray marriage. I think I just found the information myself! ugh... I have in my records a marriage recorded in CHRISTIAN COUNTY for a: James E. Tillman and a Maude Bradley which took place on 12/8/1901. The J.P. was W.R. Gray. This tells me that Maude was married previously to a BRADLEY and her father (probably) was the JP, who was W.R. Gray. Any information on a Tillman Family with a James E. Tillman in it? and...any marriage info on a a marriage between Maude Gray and a BRADLEY??? Thanks! Pam Tillman-Goff

I'm looking for any information on the Gray Family of Missouri that I can get. They were possibly in the Greene County, Christian County area. I am a Tillman Researcher and the Gray's did marry into the Tillman Family. The Gray's may help "crack" one of my brick walls! Here's what I have: Maude A. Gray, born 12/12/1884 in Missouri. She married John Wesley Tillman who was also born in Missouri. The marriage took place in Missouri as well. Any information would be very much appreciated! Thanks so much, Pam Tillman-Goff
