I've just looked at the National Archives website for the first time in a while. They have a 1930 census locator on it now. You can look up the roll of film by enumeration district and you can pull up a list of institutions (hospitals, schools, convents, jails ( some places had calabooses!)poor farms, etc.) for each county that was enumerated in 1930. It's possible to get a list of institutions for each state if you aren't sure what county it was in or you can search by the institution's name within each state. Hello Betty........ Henderson Mounds is in New Madrid Co., Missouri approx 45 miles west of the Mississippi Co. boarder...... It is approx 72 miles SW of East Prairie and approx 108 miles NE of New Madrid...... Henderson Mound is located along CR #711....... There is an "Old Railroad Grade" that runs thru it..... in a straight line from Lilbourn and East Prairie......... Per the Missouri Atlas & Gazetteer by DeLorme...... Hope this is of some help.....
