    3. Do many families from MO have a family "story" of being related to the James' boys? I would love to hear more about their family and members of their "gang". It has been reported through 2 branches of the Daniel P. Shepherd family of Ste Gen, and Crawford Cos. MO, (Late TX and IL) that there is a connection to the James', but I can't figure where. I think there was a Shepherd that rode with them, but I have not been able to find out anything about his family. What little I have found almost led me to believe he was unmarried. Does any one know of any web sites or serious James researchers that could shed some light on these men? Thanks for any suggestions! 1. [MO] Larrimores
    2. lynda j wilson
    3. The Larrimore family started out in Va, then went to NC. Hugh Lar(r)imore, born in VA in 1760, enlisted in the rev. war in Guilford Co. NC in 1776. His father (ukn) died around this time and the family moved to Caswell Co., NC where his mother remarried to unknown male. Hugh ended up in East Tennessee by early 1800's. He married Fanny Rowland. One of his sons, Roland (Sr), married a Polly Ann McFarland in Jefferson Co. TN. Roland moved to Cooper Co. MO around 1838 taking Hugh and Fanny with them. Hugh and Fanny supposedly died in 1848-9. In the 1860 Morgan Co. MO census Roland Sr. , aged 70, is listed with his children, George K., Margaret, Sarah and Elizabeth in Moreau township, Versailles post office. Roland's oldest son Rowland married Amanda Thornhill in Grainger Co., TN in 1843 and they stayed in Jefferson/Hamblen Co. TN where they are buried. Need death dates and burial sites for Roland Sr and wife Polly, and Hugh and wife Fanny. Any leads appreciated. Lynda Wilson

    3. Linda and others.. Delete the file and email message which says: "Here you have, ;0)" it is a virus that will be sent to everyone in your email address book once you open it. It was on the news today... it is everywhere. traci P.S. If there is an attachment on this email... let me know.... don't open it. Delete it and empty your trash and recycle bin. I've worked over time trying to make sure I got my system cleaned up. AGAIN!!! DON'T OPEN A MESSAGE FROM TRACI THAT SAYS ";o) CHECK THIS OUT" and has an attachment that is some misspelled variant like "Anna Kournikova." It is a virus making the rounds of several list serves Traci subscribes to, but her computer apparently got infected and has generated it as a message to everyone in her address book. If you execute the attachment it will send it to everyone in your address book too. Hope you don't get this too late to help! If so, go to the McAvee website under virus alerts : http://www.mcafeeb2b.com/default.asp

    1. [MO] LOWE- MO to CA via Wagon
    2. HAMID, LINDA
    3. I am looking for a family by the surname of LOWE who migrated from MO to California via covered wagon sometime after 1902. Frances told her grand daughter (my cousin) that they "came out from Missouri in a covered wagon around the turn of the century. She was born in a territory in the Midwest. She remembered the wagon trains and putting the wagons in a circle at night, and the men taking turns guarding the encampment. She also said for the most part the Indians were very friendly and would smile and wave, except for the ones in Texas." Was there a common starting point for journeys west? Was there a common trail? I don't know much about the adults, except the mother's maiden name was BRYANT. Three of the children (born in MO) were: Frances Bell LOWE b. March 18, 1893 Esther Jane Lowe b. October 06, 1896 Charles Benton Lowe b. June 12, 1902 I've sent for Frances' California death cert, hope to learn more from it. I'd greatly appreciate any clues on this family. Frances is supposedly a descendant of John WINTHROP, first governor of Massachusetts. Linda Hamid
