    1. Re: [MO] Millers - from Missouri to Kansas
    2. Marian, One of my MILLERs comes from New York state (married into the Miller family). Lucy A. (nee MONTAGUE) MILLER was a daughter of Lucy A. (nee Crosby) and Joseph H. MONTAGUE. Joseph H. Montague was b. abt 1807 and d. 7 April 1867; possibly buried in New York state. The wife, Lucy A. Montague was b. abt 1822 in Steuben County, New York and had 2 brothers and sister. According to her daughter's journal, Lucy A. Montague d. 3 Feb. 1913 and was buried in Olathe, KS. Lucy A. and Joseph H. Montague were married in Remsen Oneid? County, New York; marriage date unknown. I suspect the daughter of Lucy A. and Joseph H. Montague named Lucy A. Montague, was their eldest daughter since she bears her mother's name. But that is only surmise. Lucy A. Montague married Henry Saul Miller, date and place of marriage unknown. It appears from census material that Lucy A. and Henry Saul Miller married in another state and moved to Olathe, Kansas after the Civil War. Henry Saul Miller served on the Union side in the Civil War and served in the defense of Washington D.C. Lucy A. and Henry Saul had 5 children; the 2 boys died in infancy. The 3 girls were named Katie, Susie, and Maybell. Katie married young and died along w/ her husband and child of tuberculosis. Susie married and moved to California. Maybell married Homer Myer Jones. Maybell became a widow in October 1914. I know very little of Henry Saul Miller, husband of Lucy A. and father of Maybell. Henry's father was Saul Miller. Mother's name unknown. Henry Saul possibly had a brother Herbert P. Miller who became a jeweler and married Katherine Jones in 1890. The father's name of Henry Saul Miller is unknown, but the mother's name was Katherine Adams, an only child. The father of Katherine (nee Adams) Miller was Aron Adams, a minister. You might find the Johnson County, Kansas Genealogical Society helpful; they have been to me. Their web address: http://history.cc.ukans.edu/heritage/society/jcgs/jcgs_main.html Good luck hunting ancestors. 2. LUCY A. (nee MONTAGUE) MILLER and HENRY SAUL MILLER Jan, Saw your message to Missouri List back on the 13th. Did you find any MILLERs in the Olathe, Kansas area? I was unable to send any info for the questions you were asking about. In Lucy MILLER's business journal, she refers to both her widowed daughter, Maybell JONES and Maybell's daughter, Mary Frances JONES going to Kansas City. It must have been easily reached by train because Maybell often went to Kansas City and back to Olathe in one day while doing business. I am interested in finding the date and location Lucy A. Montague and Henry Saul Miller married. Suspect they were married in another state and later moved to Olathe, KS after the Civil War. Their children (known 3 girls) were born in the late 1800's, but don't know where or when. Both Lucy and Henry were buried in Olathe, Kansas. Lucy A. Miller born abt 22July, 1846 and d. 29 December 29, 1923. Henry Saul Miller b. -date unknown- and died 20 January, 1913. Lucy (nee MONTAGUE) MILLER was my maternal g-g-grandmother. Her daughter Maybell JONES was my g-grandmother. Mary Frances (nee Jones) WAGNER was the best grandmother anyone could ever have! I would very much like to know more abt. both Lucy A. MILLER and Maybell (nee MILLER) JONES. There was some talk that Lucy MILLER's husband, Henry had a brother named Herbert P. Miller. I don't know if Henry Saul MILLER had other siblings nor the name of his mother. Any input would be most appreciated. 3. Family Tree Maker has had this problem for a few years. They aren't willing to patch the OLE problem since they say it is an Internet Explorer problem and vice versa. They have the feeble attempt of a patch using the regional setting being placed in the start up menu. This is just one more item placed there to slow computers down even more. One big reason I quit FTM. ----- Original Message ----- From: "sstro" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, March 18, 2001 12:39 PM Subject: Re: [MO] FTW Failure > I sent him privately what was missing..with instrucitons..sometimes all > programs drop things with glitches or viruses....his missing drive was on > the Family Tree installation CD....but since he may have not know how to > reteve it, I emailed it to him.....we have both purchased it, so it should > not be violating any rules or regulations....with my instructions his files > should be OK again...at least for now...if he has opened up his email and > done it...I was hoping for a reply from him...... > Shirley Strosaker > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "James R. 1. Re: [MO] Bureau of Land Management
    2. I was there and was treated to the same "Owned by Poisonbox" message. I didn't think of hackers, but I did a complete virus scan on my computer. Found nothing, thank goodness. Very annoying, though. Kathryne

    1. [MO] Bureau of Land Management
    2. Just tried to access www.glorecords.blm.gov and found a black screen with a horrible face on it and "OWNED BY POISONBOX." Having no one else to ask for advice I contacted AOL and was told that this site had been hacked/broken in to and I should advise the Webmaster for the site. Tried that and was unsuccessful--got the message that the site was evidently broken or not working. This is the U. S. Bureau of Land Management site. Just wanted to alert everyone to not try to access the site. I am using a Mac computer and usually they are not susceptible to the viruses but wouldn't want someone to infect their PC computers if this may be associated with a virus.

    1. [MO] Help Please....
    2. Vicki Walberg
    3. Hi, I am looking for information on my John Coons JR b. 1807 in Montgomery Co., KY. He is the son of John Coons Sr and Elizabeth Ellis. John Coons Jr., married Elizabeth Wells in August 1832. They moved to Ralls Co., in April of 1835. According to his obituary dated September (looks like 29th) 1892 there were 4 of his 7 children still surviving him. Only problem is that the three daughters are listed only as Mrs. and the last names of Culbertson, Treadway and Keithly. A son John was living in TX. I am looking to confirm the children of Elizabeth Wells and John Coons. Can you help me please? Also many of these ancestors are buried in the Laddonia Cemetery in Audrain Co., MO., or in the Asher Burial Grounds. Does anyone know where these are located. Does Laddonia still exist? Thanks for you time, Vicki Walberg Vacaville, CA
