    3. As you may have noticed, Rootsweb mail lists are back on-line! I hope everyone will begin utilizing this list and the many others available at Rootsweb. If you have any questions about this list please fee free to send me a message! There are still some bugs to be worked out. The mailing list is still text only and attachments are not allowed. You can now manage your own account to make changes to how the mail list works for you. However to do that you will need to set up an account. This is to make the mailing lists more secure from outsiders trying to harvest email addresses. 3. This is a test of the Rootsweb lists I am on. It is also some information for the list administrator if they feel the list is not running as expected. And finally it is an attempt to get something posted to the list so Rootsweb does not turn the list off. The list admin should probably go to this page: http://home.rootsweb.ancestry.com/ and try to set up a new mailman login, if not already done. If you do that you will probably get to this page eventually: https://mailinglists.rootsweb.ancestry.com/lists/setupmail Then you might want to sign up for this list: https://mailinglists.rootsweb.ancestry.com/listindexes/search/Listowners But be warned, you will receive postings from that list almost every day.  May 8 a day at times. Another option that I do not encourage is to turn the list over to me - at least temporarily.  Again, I do not want that done if you are willing to keep the list. Mike Flannigan

We have been working hard tobring this state site up to date with new information and we need your help. Wehave added new information to many of the counties, which are up forAdoption. If you adopt one of the existing county sites, theyalready have a home on the Genealogy Village web site which will save you timein getting started as the site will not be moved. The state site also has the Missouri History of 1867 and Historyof Northeast Missouri where you can obtain additional information for a Countysite with links to that information. If you or your family have pictures of Cemeteries, historicalmarkers, buildings, etc., we would love to have a copy of them to share on ourwebsite. We also have a Cemeteries ofMissouri page, where you are welcome to adopt one or more of the Counties orCemeteries within a county.
