Craddock b. abt 1845 MS, MS,MS - possible widow of George W. Baygents, former postmaster Caldwell Parish 1857 - Died at Wayside Hosp of S.C. Pvt. Capt Moody's Co. Madison Lght Art or: - G.W. was married to a Mary A. Smith Baygents b. 1831 MS (who may have died and left her orphaned children with G.W. and his 3rd wife Minerva.) Cecil Craddock, b. 1862, LA,MS,AL Hershel Craddock b. 1865, LA,MS,AL Another son (can't read name) b. 1875, LA,MS,LA Robert Craddock b. 1877 LA, MS,LA Emily G. b. Dec. 1879, LA,MS,LA Emma G. Baygents b. 1860, LA,MS,LA (G.W. Craddock's stepdaughter) Ella Baygents b. 1868 LA,MS,LA (G.W. Craddock's stepdaughter) other children of G. W. Craddock from earlier 1st marriage: Joseph M. Craddock, b. 1852, MS,MS,MS (living in home of Joe P. Thornhill #297) Alonzo or Alphonso Craddock b. 1856, MS Amanda Jane Craddock b. 1858, MS (married into Rev. Richard Floyd Mitchell's family) In next door in O.O. Gray's home lived farm laborer: Edmund or Emmanuel Baygents, b. 1864, LA,MS,LA (believe him to be stepson of G.W. Craddock.) I can document G.W. Craddock 1st being in Caldwell, La. in 1860 with three children: Joseph, Alphonso, Amanda. No wife listed. 1870 appears Mary. 1880 appears Minerva and numerous other children. Amanda moves to Tx with husband and family appx. 1890-1900. Military Information found: Francis M. Craddock, Pvt. Co. B. 31st Regt La Inf G.W. Craddock, Pvt. Co. D. 17th La Inf G.W. Craddock, Pvt. Bo. B. 31st Regt La Inf George K. Craddock Corpl Co. B. 31st Regt La Inf J.W. Craddock , Pvt Co. F. 3rd La Inf. Would like to connect with Craddock or Baygents researchers, I am at a stop with locating these family members after 1880 in La. or poss. Texas or before 1860 in MS or Ga.
