Hello Mississippi Researchers, I have been a member of this list for quite some time but have never posted.. I am looking for CAMPBELL's/CARTER's in the areas of Amite, Adams, and Franklin Counties in early 1800's. I descend through Charles C. CAMPBELL who married Selah CARTER Sept. 1, 1813 Natchez, Adams CO. MS. I have nothing past Charles. I do have Vinson/Vincent CARTER believed to be the Father of Selah. According to court transcripts Vincent cultivated land on the day that Spanish Troops Evacuted... therefore obtaining a land grant of 640 acres in Adams CO., I'm assuming a part of which became Franklin CO. due to the fact they are in the Franklin CO. census in 1820.
