2. Hi Listers This is not a commercial, really, I need your help, (and maybe you can help yourself and USGenWeb Archives ) The publishing Company below offers two pricing plans, one very expensive and one very reasonable. However when I go to the counties I am genealogically interested in, I find that few, and often zero people are on the "wait list" for that county/year (at the very reasonable price) Please check out the prices and if you think they are reasonable, I would very much appreciate it if you put your name on the wait list. S-K promises not to share your address and to allow you to change your mind before they "burn" your CD The county/years that I am interested in are: Union Co., Arkansas, 1900, 1910 Union Co., South Carolina 1810, 1820 Newberry Co., SC 1810, 1820 Lauderdale Co., ALabama 1810, 1820, 1830, 1840 Monroe Co., Mississippi 1850, 1860 Desoto Co., MS 1850, 1860, 1870 Tate Co., MS 1880, 1890 Marshall Co., MS 1870 Panola Co., MS 1870, 1880, 1890 I am including a couple of other messages to show that there is other interest in census' Thanks a bunch, "______________________________ -------------------- X-Message: #3 Date: Fri, 13 Apr 2001 11:44:05 -0500 From: "alltel" <properties@alltel.net> To: AFHA-L@rootsweb.com Message-ID: <003101c0c438$f442b900$55fd66a6@dennis> Subject: [AFHA] Arkansas census on CD's Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Can anyone tell me where I can buy the Franklin Co., AR. census 1860 ~ 1900 on CD's Thank you, Vicky ______________________________ -------------------- X-Message: #4 Date: Fri, 13 Apr 2001 18:56:42 EDT From: Hstryhntr2@aol.com To: AFHA-L@rootsweb.com Message-ID: <42.136f141d.2808de2a@aol.com> Subject: Re: [AFHA] Arkansas census on CD's Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Disposition: Inline In a message dated 4/13/01 11:33:48 AM Central Daylight Time, properties@alltel.net writes: > Can anyone tell me where I can buy the Franklin Co., AR. census 1860 ~ 1900 > on CD's > Thank you, Vicky I don't know if they have what you are looking for or not, but the best I have bought have been from S-K Publications. Two pricing schemes: A) Individual Scanning Order (any census year): 75 cents per page. See chart above for number of pages. (For censuses earlier than 1850, e-mail us for an estimate.) We will charge a 50% deposit now and the balance when the CD is completed (approximately 3 months). (If the pages should be more than the estimated # of pages, we will only charge for the estimated #. If the pages should be less, we will only charge for the actual number of pages.) B) Wait List: 1850 through 1920 Census only. S-K Publications will scan census images onto CD when the figure in the "# to date" Column matches the figure in the "# needed" Column. Price per person: $20 per county per census year. Here's how it works: 1) If you would like to order one of these counties on CD for the price of $20 per year, fill out our WAIT-LIST FORM. 2) When we receive your form, we will update the "# to date" column. 3) As soon as the figure in the "# to date" reaches the "# needed," we will notify you that the county/census year can be scheduled for scanning onto CD (in approximately 2 months from then). 4) When the CD is completed, a copy of the census images will also be donated for free, permanent placement on-line in the USGenWeb Archives with your name listed as one of the donors.
