Hi Patrice, Here are the Jewell's that I found in the 1860 MS Census: Collingwood Jewell, Pike Co, page 343 James Jewell, Yalobusha Co, page 808 James and Nancy Jewell, Choctow Co., page 328-29 Thomas Jewell, Marshall Co., page 146 I checked to see if there were any Daniel's enumerated with any of these and didn't find any. I am sorry that I couldn't help in that area, but perhaps one of these names rings a bell? I also looked for Pinta (under Lennox and under Jewell) with no success.
