Howard, I appreciate the information, don't imagine they would do an inter-library loan as I live in Texas. I have been to Brookhaven and surrounding areas and to the archives many times. I am sort of bound at home now with an elderly aunt [be 95 on Thurs.] who has no children, broke her hip last Dec. and now back at home. I am the only one to see about her now. Thanks, Gladys
Yes they do loans all over the country. All you do is go to the library and ask for whatever book you need. They would if possible like the author of it and sometimes they can look that up for you. I have had them brought into where I live alot. Where do you live in Texas? Cindy I live in Texas also. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, January 06, 2004 8:48 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [MISSISSIPPI] Re:Newton County Watts Howard, I appreciate the information, don't imagine they would do an inter-library loan as I live in Texas. Gladys, they probably WOULD do an inter-library loan - that is, if they do that sort of thing at all. I live in New Hampshire now (although originally from Mississippi) and I get books on inter-library loan from Mississippi, Alabama and all over the place. It's certainly worth a try, and you could probably do it by telephone to your library, requesting the book (giving the title and the author) and requesting to be notified when it comes in. It's usually only a couple of dollars, and you get to keep it usually about two to three weeks. At least, that's been my experience.
