Karen, I had a relative who was in prison in 1887 until 1902 and wrote to the prison. They in turn sent it on to the archives, this is in Texas so it went to Austin, TX. I would imagine there is an archive in MS, maybe someone knows and where it is. If so just write to them and see if they can get you the information.
