If you never lived in Utah you would not know this, but July 24 is "Pioneer Day," a holiday commemorating the Mormon Pioneers who crossed the Great Plains in wagons and pulling or pushing carts over the Wasatch mountains to originally settle in the Salt Lake Valley of Utah...almost all the businesses including Banks, etc. are closed, especially those with Mormon owners. It is more widely celebrated and with more passion than July 4th...
