I am looking for a Jordan family that was in Mississippi around 1850. My ggrandmother was born there at that time. I have been unable to locate anything of her family including siblings or parents. Her name as she signed it on her marriage certificate in Arkansas in 1874 was Jepthy Jordan. In censuses, she was listed as Sarah Jordan. My grandfather (her son) said that her name was Jepthy Prarlee (or Prarie or ? spelling never seen) Jordan. Her father was from Alabama and her mother from Georgia.
