    1. [MISSISSIPPI] Re: MISSISSIPPI-D Digest V01 #153
    2. Dear Jim As to Jackson's Greenwood Cemetary, I don't know about a book-I didn't find one in Jackson City Library when I was looking for myGgrandfather. However there are records at the cemetary, but primitive on rolls of paper. The people in charge work on weekdays and are very short handed and understaffed. The man in charge is very knowledgable about the cemetary and helped me find our grave even though it was unmarked and later helped me place a marker. He has been trying to get the records computerized for a long time but is not given the help. He can't even get markers placed on Veterans graves after the Gov't gives the markers. I really wish an American Legion group or ROTC group would help with that project. You wouldn't believe the stack of markers he showed me. Also I don't see why the city of Jackson can't hire a high school student part-time to enter the information on a computer. If you will travel there I am sure they will help. If you can't travel there write me back. Bobbie H
