    1. Re: [MISSISSIPPI] Susan Billet possible Baumgartner Lead
    2. Sin, Today's mail brought me R. Baumgartner's obit! One of the friendly, helpful people on the list found it for me! He died in 1910, his funeral was from his son Adolph Baumgartner's home at 1131 Delachaise Street, New Orleans. That's the only relative mentioned. There sure are a lot of friendly, helpful genies out there! If I never found a single soul in my own family, I feel like there's kin out there - just like you! I'm still interested in R. Baumgartner in the Confederate army in the Civil War. Got anything on that? I've printed out your suggestions and will try to find out how to do them. Ashley Baumgartner is very interesting, considering the obit took me to the map to see that Summit and McComb are next door to each other. The obit says he lived in McComb for 40 yrs. but the 1870 and 1880 censuses have him in Summit. May have merged by 1910 or the names are used interchangeably. We have some of that here in the area of Kansas where I live. Helena Baumgartner's maiden name is another puzzle. Remember she was first married to a Hakenjos. That's not her maiden name. Thanks for the help! Susan Billet in Kansas
