I have been searching this family found in Brookhaven, Lincoln County, MS in 1910, 1920, 1930 of 1930 Leo L. May age 30 born MS claim agent steam RR wife Louise age 27 born MS daut. Mary E. age 9 born MS daut. Geraldine age 6 born MS daut Laree age 4 born MS living with them was Mary Higginbotham age 70 a widow. In 1910 Louise Larkin was living with the Higginbotham family, he was W. L. and she was given as a niece. In 1920 then she was married to Leo L. May and they were given as niece and nephew still living with the family, but the man W.L. Higginbotham was deceased. In 1930 above is given. I ordered the obituary of Leo L. May who died in 1980 and given in the newspaper of Brookhaven to see if it was the same family. It is the same family as it gives the same children except for Mary E. who must have been deceased by 1980. May rites today Final rites for Leo Lawrence May 81, of 539 South Jackson St. Brookhaven, will be held at 2 p.m. today from Hartman henderson Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Easthaven Cemetery. The Rev. Tom Gilbert, pastor of First United Methodist Church, will conduct the service. Mr. May died Sept. 9 at the residence of his stepson in Summit. He was a retired railroad company employee and a member of the First United Methodist Church. Mr. May was a native of Alabama but had been reared in Lincoln County. Mr. May is survived by his wife, Mrs. Laura May of Summit; two daughters, Mrs. Geraldine Hinson and Mrs. Laree Wilkins, both of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Crosby, picayune, Miss.; and Mrs. Verna Simnon of Jackson. He is also survived by four grandchildren, nine great grand children and one great great grandchild.
