Sin, My line is John Dawson McConnell who lived in Brownsville, MS, northwest of Raymond. He was a doctor there. He married Mrs. Mary Mason Davis (Martin) in 1856. She had 2 daughters from a previous marriage. They lived in "Larenwood" in Brownsville. She died in the 1870's and Dr. McConnell died January 23, 1883. I got that information from a Mason journal. I have no idea where he or she are buried, if he is buried with his wife or if she was buried in a family plot. The Davis family had property called Davis Plantation that was flooded near Jackson?? Mary and Dr. McConnell had one son, John Dawson McConnell. In a poem he wrote to her on their wedding day he says they have known each other for many years. Do you have any information on him?
