Hi Kate, In your search of the People and descendants that came to Mississippi, I would appreciate any help on locating Hezekiah Byrd's parents, I have not found any information or data on His family, He came to Mississippi in the early 1800's, there was a William Sutton Byrd and a George Byrd that came through the same areas the same time and I can trace them back, but I have not fond anything on a Hezekiah Byrd, some of the professional think after he was in the Military (SC Militia) he could have had to use a first name or a name change that has not been locate and lost his identity. It has been suggested that his parents may have been Michael King Byrd and Laney Branch, Thanks for any help Melvin Byrd
