    3. As with many things the answer is $$. These last years most states have had beget cuts and Mississippi has always had to do more with less. Most state Libraries/Archives haven't the money to provide services to out of state, non tax paying users. Not many teens volunteer to work in the archives. Anyone willing to pay at least minimum wage plus cost of copies? I believe the Archives will give you a list of professional researches on request. $15 for copies of CSA records is less that getting the copies of the same microfilm from the NARA and they are not quick either. Copies from mail in requests have to be done when the equipment isn't in use by on site users. All things considered, perhaps a trip to Jackson might be more cost effective :) Patsy
