    1. Re: [MISSISSIPPI] Re: For Hazel:
    2. Hazel, My phone connection has been down for a few days and am just catching up with a flood of Mississippi emails. In scrolling prior to deletion I picked up on the Ross name of yours. I have a long shot I've been looking at trying to unravel a Weir brick wall. My JOHN WEIR, d. 1817 Chester/Fairfield Co. SC, had a son THOMAS who ended up in Winston Co. MS were he died in the mid or later 1800s. My line is through another of JOHN's sons, CHARLES. One of the clue threads I've been trying to use in trying to find JOHN's parents are the naming patterns in many early families where children by there birth order were named for specific older family members. In research by a descendant of THOMAS, one of his daughters had the middle name of Ross. My question (sorry it took so long to get to it) is, have you come across the Weir name in any association with Ross? Thanks in advance, Butch
