Larry, I had a similiar happening with my grandfather. I only knew my grandfathers name to be Samuel Goodwin until I found the family in TX 1900 with my father at home. The census stated he was born in SC, but when I went to the 1880 Mississippi census where I knew my grandmother Mary Larkin was born, I found Samuel Goodwin as a teacher stated born in NC. I first checked North Carolina and found a Samuel the right age and thought that was him until I contacted a person who had researched the family. I then looked in South Carolina 1850 and found another Samuel the right age lost him in 1860 until I found they had migrated to Hinds Co., MS and was there in 1860. I then continued on his parents, obtained the probate records and found my grandfather was listed there and living in Texas in 1905 when my g-gfather died. These names will fool you because they used the names so much in the family lines, could have been another relative cousin maybe. You will just have to keep searching and prove which one is your Louisa. I hope this helps. Gladys
