I am new to the list and am searching for info on subject family names. My great grandparents were Blanche (Townsend) and Will or William Anthony Jones. Their children were Charles Thomas, Estelle, Paul Herman, and Annie Lou. Paul Herman b. Dec 14, 1899, was my grandfather. He died Nov 3, 1938 in Craighead Co., AR when my father was only 6 years old. He and my grandmother, Laura Robbie Mattox Rackley lived in Clarksdale between 1928 and 1932. I was told that my grandfather worked for a Plantation owner as a foreman over the laborers. I am not sure where the Story family fits, only have one name, Uncle Jim Story. Annie Lou Jones was first married to _____ Patterson, and had a son named Durwood (wife was Rose or Rose Ann). Durwood was born in mid to late 1920s. Annie Lou was last married to Homer McFarland and lived in Belen,MS in late 1960s. I would like to see if I can find a link out there somewhere. Thank you. Hi Robbie, Surnames such as STORY can be difficult on the web because it is also a common English word. If you go to Obituary Central, there is a suite of tools for researching obits, cemetery inscriptions, etc. One of the tools is called the WebWide Surname Locator.
