Reposting in the event new reseracher is out there. Searching for James WEST, born 1798 in SC; died June 5, 1861 in Lafayette Cty, MS. He was the son of 40. Jacob WEST, born SC. James married #1 unknown and had five children (names unknown). He married #2 Sarah Jane (Jincy) TAYLOR, and had five children. Sarah Jane (Jincy) TAYLOR, born Abt. 1814 in GA. She was the daughter Uriah TAYLOR and Nancy L. TUCKER. Before her marriage to James WEST, she married Joel TUCKER August 25, 1833 in Stewart Co. GA, and had five children. Four of Joel and Jane's children never married and Uriah is believed to have died in the Civil War. Does anyone have any info on Joel TUCKER as to who his parents are? James WEST settled in MS. His son, James Cody WEST, said that his father grew up in TN. I believe that James WEST in Wayne Co. is my James WEST. MS tax list has the following people. Some of these people listed in the MS tax list were also in Wayne Co. TN. Jacob LEE as living by James WEST in 1830 Wayne Co. TN Census, so I believe that these people are connected in some way through marriage. Does anyone has any info on these people or have a West marriage show up in any of these names. One clue is there is a John LINDSEY that married an Elizabeth WEST who could possibly be related to the Josiah LINDSEY that shows up in the Wayne Co. Tax List. Elizabeth would most like be an aunt to James WEST if they are related giving the ages.
