I received papers from the MS Archives on my Joshua Hadley with the following. "Register of Appointments County Offices 1812-17. In the bill this is how it is listed: Reg. of Com:RG2mf12 (p.26)--Joshua Hadley. The second sheet has Jackson County at the top. No where have I found a state yet. I am in hopes some of you might spot a name or two that pins down if this was MS or TN. In fact for sure which state this Jackson County is in. Jackson County MS was formed in 1801, so that is a possibility. Major cities in Jackson County are Pascagoula, Moss Point and Ocean Springs. I believe Pascagoula is the county seat.
