    3. Hi Peggy, Everyone seems to be missing the point. The 1900 census is available at Ancestry and Mississippi is also available. The problem is that Mississippi is one of the few states that has not yet been indexed and therefore, you can not access the Mississipp pages using the search capability. If you sign-in to Ancestry and go to the 1900 census, then page down below the search section and you will find a listing of all states including Mississippi. Click on Mississippi and you will get a county listing. If you know the county, click on the county and you will get a listing of the enumeration districts usually with a brief description of the area within each district. From this point, you will need to do a page by page search for your ancestors. Date: Fri, 11 Feb 2005 20:01:58 EST Hello, Today I signed up for a free two-week trial at Ancestry.com. The first thing I noticed was that they had the 1900 Federal census, which I haven't seen before. Much to my disappointment, Mississippi was not on the list of states offered. Would anybody happen to know why? I am researching ancestors in Warren County and Sunflower County for that time frame.
