    3. No, never thought about it. I just wanted it for my own peace of mind. If family members can't get it right, what makes you think that the government officials could? Only joking...... If it needs correcting for an inheritance or proof of biological parents etc...then I would have had it changed, but would checked into it and got a cheaper attorney. LOL BTW. My own husband's birth certificate is WRONG..... and I did call the court house and they said they could change it with proof. but we never did go...since it isn't that important...we know who he is. His father gave him 2 names...but they (the clerk) got the second name misspelled so my husband never used a middle name...he said he did not have one...He will retire next year, and I have called SS to see if this would affect his SS benefits...they said no, just to have other documents, i.e. driver's license, marriage license etc..showing where he only used his first name and no middle name....Sure hope they know what they are talking about.....will know in Sept as that is when he will go to sign up.....
