Happy New Years Everyone: Hopefully some walls will come tumbling down in 2005. I have created a blog for genealogy. It is open to comments and suggestions and topics. You may sign your name or nom de plume. You may link it to your webpage if you wish. Just be nice is only rule. The URL is: http://frontporchrockernews.blogspot.com Visit and post. I can create a Langford and Lankford name section for anyone who would like to upload their gedcoms and other family information. Will create section for other names of interest to me and anyone else. Hampton, Creel, Wilkinson, Roberts, McInnis, McCann, many of the Southside families of Virginia, Newsome, Dearman, Brigman, Evans, Dunn, Clark(e), Hawkins, Walker, Rostan, Sneed/Snead. Tonight will be posting some documented names of Indian Traders found in deeds. Have found more Langford/Lankford material in abstracted newspapers and hopefully our library may have these newspapers in their collection so that I can go and view the complete articles. Have been attempting to find material on the Railroads in Texas which were built for the cattle trade in Fort Worth. Cattle runs to Kansas became old hat when Fort Worth decided to "do it themselves". Hopefully non-genie types who have a passion for history or a subject related to history such as gun smithing, saloon keeping, soap making, etc., will discover the page and post some good stuff for us. Well, it is time to start posting to the Front Porch Rocker News. Come on and visit...pull up a rocker and lets talk or just view the passing dogs with their folks.
