    1. [MISSISSIPPI] For Joan Re:Relative joining MS Regiment
    2. Edward Hall
    3. but why would Joshua (a brother, a cousin, a coincidence?) join a Mississippi regiment? love joan Joan: First off I have not yet checked the data base, but it is not unusual for neighbor states to share soldiers from other states. Especially after the war started. You are asking a question I cannot answser straight from a data base. Only your personal research can tell you where he was when he joined, and what was going on, age (did he leave family and RUN AWAY to war) so to speak. The age line of 19-21 after the war going to Texas suggests this could be a possible to consider. But there were younger soldiers, some of course were run aways, and others joined up with their fathers in same regiments etc. First note the induction spot, who would he know in the area first off? Did he go to join relatives inlisting in MS regiments? Having noted where he joined and or was inducted into the regiments, ask a question or two of his age considerations, such as was it to gain some type of experience because he had none or was the odd son out (one not likely to get a family land i! nheritance etc.) These and other questions are to be considered when looking into such research. Hope this helped you. If you want me to check data base for any info let me know. SIN
