    3. Edye, A consort is a wife whose husband is living. If she had been listed as "Relict", that would have meant that she was a widow when she died since you found that listed on her headstone. 1. Bennie White - RE: Death Certificate Index, MS, 1912-1943
    2. marvin hamlett
    3. Mr. White, I am hoping that you could take time for one more request. My great-grandfather, Eddie Homer Lee, supposedly died January 12, 1917 (the date on his headstone - in Goodwater Cemetery, Simpson Co.), but I can find no death certificate for him. I have been told that it's possible he actually died a year before or after that. Would you check your microfilm to see if there is a listing for Eddie Homer Lee? Thank you so much, Sharon Hamlett

    3. At the risk of some of you laughing at this but I have need to know. When it's marked on a woman's tombstone that she was the "consort" of so-n-so, what does that mean. Does it mean that the woman was his wife or she was his mistress or what. All opinions and comments are welcome. Thank you. ===== Edye Higgins Byhalia, MS ====== Friends are angels that lift us to our feet when our wings forget how to fly. Get up to $45 FREE postage with Stamps.com! 3. Searching for John WOMACK b. VA or MS. Married Sarah M. BAISDON. One known daughter: Martha Ann WOMACK WEST, b. 1852 in MS. Martha's mother Sarah BAISDON WOMACK remarried to Simeon TAYLOR. Not sure of how many children they had, but research and family tales indicate that one child was Cam TAYLOR, another child that has been verified is Penelope TAYLOR HARDMAN (m. James Harrison HARDMAN), and finally probable that they may have daughter Margaret TAYLOR who married Dennis HARDMAN. The TAYLORS/and HARDMANs were in Texas in or around Navarro Co./Corisicana Texas. Any help would be appreciated. If anyone has access to census records in or around this area around 1900-1910 and could do a lookup for any of those names, that would be great! Do anyone recognize any of these names. Feel free to contact me at hillsters@bwoodtx.com or mhill@hputx.edu. Best Regards, Mary NOTE: My Taylor line is George TUCKER/Rebecca LEVERETT, Nancy TUCKER& Uriah TAYLOR, and from two of Nancy and Uriah's children: Sarah Jayne Jincy TAYLOR/first married Joel TUCKER, second James WEST, next I am descended from second child of Nancy & Uriah, Penelopy TAYLOR m. George BAISDON. Penelopy and George are the parents of Sarah M. BAISDON listed above. Also, It is probably likely that Joel Tucker is a cousin to Sarah Jane Taylor. How I do not know, so if anyone has info, I would love to hear from you.

    1. Is there a death index for Mississippi? Interested in years 1935-1937
    2. R Kemp
    3. Hi folks! I am trying to find an uncle who died near the Mississippi border. Arkansas has an index to the death records in the 1930's and I want to find out if there is a similiar book for Mississippi. Both of my sources say he died in Arkansas, but there is no death record for him for the years he is supposed to have died (1935-1937). Thanks in Advance, Rebecca _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com
